Donde esta la Bibliotheca?

"Jack, it says on your resume here that you're a Librarian."
"Yeah, been in and around libraries volunteering and doing research since grade school."
"But you don't have an MLS?"
"Not yet.  I'm trying to find a program that I can work with on that."
"What for?"
"Because I want to design installations for Museums.  That's why my specialty is in interactive and visual media."
"What exactly is that?"
"It's just a fancy way of saying Comics and Video Games.  But it extends to film, television, and more traditional visual mediums like paintings and sculptures.  I view architecture as a visual medium as well, it's why I love visiting large cities."

That's the frustrating part for me.

I've got so much life/work experience I'm trying to find a program where I can get essay assignments to earn the credits. I'd love to do class time to participate in conversations and the like but not being able to go to a more traditional institutions I spend my time independently studying and trying to find people that will let me info dump and hopefully they ask questions or offer insights.
Usually though...I just listen to educational videos and podcasts then talk it out with the cats.
Makes me a little crazy, but I work with what I've got.

"Okay, so what kind of experience do you have?"
"Well, in grade school it was mostly just helping straitening shelves.  In high school it was shelving, shelf reading, checking out books in the school English library.   Teachers staffed the history library otherwise I'd probably have spent more time in there."
"And after?"
"Oh man, I worked with a public library system.  I started off as a part time Paige, a shelve.  The children's librarian at the branch took me under their wing, then I went to another branch as a clerk and started doing story times and YA programs.   Then went to another branch doing a lot more of the same.  Then at one point they offered me my own branch to run but I unfortunately had to turn it down."
"Why would you turn down a Branch Managers position?"
"Well I was managing a house full of college students.  The hourly pay bump wouldn't offset the loss in hours and my finances paid all of the bills upfront, covered things like paper towels, lawn care equipment and the like so the students could focus on their work."
"So you turned down career advancement so students could focus on their school work."
"Yep. Zero regrets on that point, they've all gone along to become very successful in their respective fields."
"What did you do after that?"
"Traveled around working at fairs then went back to work."
"Back to work?"
"Yeah.  Found out Meth dealers were selling in a local park that acted as an emergency encampment during fire emergency's and frequented by the homeless."
"What does that have to do with you?"
"They were using the library parking lot to leave their vehicles and library kids used that park.  I took offense to that."
"What happened after that."
"The Proud Boys took offense to my messing with their money."
"Um...."
"Occupational hazards."
"Uh..."
"So...What kind of Salary are you offering?"
